Spare a thought for the intended recipient of these flowers, whose Valentine’s Day date was arrested by police in Derbyshire en route to their romantic rendezvous.
After stopping the car in Cromford, with the bouquet on its passenger seat, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: “If your Valentine's Day date is male, 37 years old, disqualified from driving but still drives a 2004 BMW (badly) - he's not stood you up. He tried his best to get to you but failed.”
